Tootsie came back to the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County (AWSJC) through no fault of her own. She was surrendered to another shelter by her adopter’s family member after her adopter passed away, just two weeks after bringing Tootsie home. This sweet 3-year-old tuxedo girl has a black-and-white coat, bright eyes, and a personality that is hard not to fall in love with!
At around 12-15 lbs, this domestic short hair girl is a great size for cuddling on the couch. Tootsie has been affectionate and outgoing since the day she arrived, and she settles in easily wherever she goes. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is ready to go!
Tootsie would do best in a calm home. She does well with other cats, though she’ll let them know if she’d rather be left alone, and she has shown she can be comfortable around a large, calm dog with proper introductions. It’s unknown how she does around young children, so a home without kids under 10 would suit her best.
