Attorney Lawson D. Spivey, III brings more than two decades of trial experience and a proven record against corporate defendants to Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers. Born in Ozark, Alabama, Lawson earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of South Carolina before receiving his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law.
Lawson began practicing with Weiner, Spivey & Miller in 2001, where he concentrated his practice on personal injury litigation and appeared frequently in Virginia state courts. Over the course of his career, he has successfully represented injured clients in a wide range of matters, including wrongful death, automobile accidents, premises liability, sexual abuse, and medical malpractice. He has secured numerous large settlements and verdicts against big box retailers, grocery store chains, and transportation companies.
Recognized for his work, Lawson is rated AV Preeminent®️ by Martindale-Hubbell and was named one of the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff’s Lawyers in Virginia by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of his legal practice, Lawson enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacey, and their two children, Lawson and Logan.
