Our History
In 1969, after serving as Prosecuting Attorney of Jefferson County, John C. Skinner, Jr. joined his mentor and friend, F. Dean Nichols, and founded the law firm of Nichols & Skinner. After decades of serving the people of Jefferson County, Dean Nichols retired in January of 1981, and John Skinner retired in the spring of 2015.
Stephen Skinner returned to the firm after working for five years as a plaintiff’s lawyer in New York City. Andrew Skinner started his legal career in the Chicago office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before returning to his hometown to join his brother and father at Nichols & Skinner, which was renamed Skinner Law Firm in 2008.
Since its establishment almost 50 years ago, Skinner Accident and Injury Lawyers has been committed to serving its clients. Whether our client lives in West Virginia or California, we focus on his or her individual needs.
