Do I Have A Good Case?

“Do I have a good case?” That’s a question that we get on a pretty regular basis. There are three things that we look at. The first one is sometimes called liability or fault, and what we really mean is, did someone break a rule? If someone did break a rule, then the next thing we look at is the injuries, the damages that were caused by that breaking of the rule. The last thing that we look at is, is there someone who can pay? We kind of call that the “blood out of a turnip” rule. If there’s no insurance or there’s no company with the resources to pay, then there may not be a case. So, we’re looking at: did someone do something wrong, did that wrong cause you harm, and then is there someone that can pay to make up for that harm? Every case is different, and so really, probably the best thing is to give us a call, and we’ll talk you through whether your particular situation is one where we can jump in and where we can help.
