They don’t call it the “City of Brotherly Love” for nothing: Andrew and Stephen Skinner headed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania together in mid-July to attend the annual convention of the American Association for Justice.
The AAJ, as it’s known, is over75 years old and is dedicated to Americans’ right to trial by jury. It supports trial lawyers all over the country and provides excellent educational opportunities for lawyers wanting to hone their skills.
Stephen, the chair of a national AAJ committee, spoke at this year’s convention in addition to attending seminars and meetings.
Both Skinners were impressed by the huge annual event, which brought together plaintiff’s lawyers to discuss the most pressing legal issues of the day.
The education-packed few days ended with a special event: a birthday dinner for Andrew at a local restaurant.
