We recently shared the exciting news about our sponsorship of Jefferson County Parks and Recreation’s first Lego League team, and now we’re thrilled to provide an update. The “Hydro Hackers” recently competed in the West Virginia First Lego League State Championship at Fairmont State University. Not only did they take on the challenge with enthusiasm, but they also exceeded expectations. Moreover, without a doubt, they hit it out of the park. We couldn’t be prouder to support such a talented and driven team!
This incredible group of 5th-7th graders dedicated their entire fall to designing, building, learning, and honing their skills in coding, engineering, and problem-solving. They worked hard, overcame challenges, collaborated, and refined their skills for the big moment. Their efforts culminated in an impressive state debut, where they competed against nearly sixty teams across the Mountain State. During the tough competition, the Hydro Hackers truly shone, excelling through five intense rounds of robotics competitions. They demonstrated their commitment, creativity, and teamwork, showing how far passion and perseverance can take them. This is just the beginning for these talented young innovators!
Led by Mrs. Ala and the staff at Code Agents, the Hydro Hackers won the “Rising All-Star Award,” which recognizes outstanding achievement and innovation by a new team or team on the rise in West Virginia.
We’re so proud that the Hydro Hackers are flourishing, and therefore, look forward to their next competition!
