Maryland Personal Injury Attorney | Shawn Hogbin

Shawn Hogbin standing in a federal courtroom after being sworn into the Federal Court in MarylandWe are excited to share big news about our team. In early December, attorney Shawn Hogbin was sworn in to the Federal Court for the District of Maryland in Baltimore. Not only is this an important step in Shawn’s career, but it is also an important step for the firm — it enables Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers to serve even more people in the state of Maryland.

This swearing-in means Shawn is now allowed to handle and try cases in federal court in Maryland. The Federal Court follows its own rules and procedures, which makes admission a major achievement. Shawn worked through a detailed process to reach this goal, and we are proud of him.

A proud moment for our team

Stephen went to the ceremony to support Shawn, who is a Hedgesville native. Excited for his colleague to reach this milestone, Stephen said, “When we decided to expand our law practice into Maryland, Shawn was game to go through the lengthy process to become licensed to practice there. We are grateful for his being such a team player and are so pleased for this step in his career.”

Why this matters for personal injury clients

Many personal injury cases are handled in state court. Some cases may involve a federal court, depending on the facts. This can happen when companies are involved or when there are parties from different states. Having an attorney who can practice in federal court helps our firm stay ready for whatever a case needs.

Shawn’s admission helps our firm better serve people who are hurt in accidents. An injury can change your life fast. You may be dealing with medical bills, missed work, pain, and stress. Our job is to help you understand your options and fight for what is fair.

We help people after serious accidents

Our firm handles many types of personal injury cases, including:

  • Car accidents
