One of the best long-standing traditions in Jefferson County is Citizen’s Fire Company’s annual Pancake Breakfast. This all-day event brings the community together over stacks of warm, fluffy pancakes. Some of us love it so much that we go twice—once for breakfast and again for dinner!
This year, our entire Charles Town office and Andrew and Stephen’s father, John, made their way to the firehouse for the beloved flapjack extravaganza. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, and sausage gravy filled plates, sparking good conversation and supporting a great cause.
This event is more than just a meal for Andrew—it’s a cherished tradition. “I look forward to this event every year,” he shared. “In addition to fundraising for the fire company and eating a giant pile of pancakes, you also get to see everybody in town. What’s not to love?”
Beyond the delicious food, the Pancake Breakfast reminds us of the strong sense of community that makes Jefferson County special. It’s a time to catch up with old friends, support local firefighters, and celebrate a tradition that has brought people together for generations.
Until next year, we’ll be counting down the days until we can dig into another plate of pancakes at the Citizen’s Fire Pancake Breakfast and continue this time-honored tradition!
