Attorney Elaine Singerman brings a decade of courtroom experience and an unwavering commitment to justice to Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers. Licensed to practice law in Virginia, Elaine has spent her career standing beside individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives — and fighting hard to make sure their voices are heard.
Elaine earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Chicago in Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. She began representing clients in court during law school, working through the Criminal Defense Clinic and interning at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Public Defender’s Office — experiences that gave her an early foundation in courtroom advocacy and a lasting commitment to fighting for people the system can overlook.
Over the course of her career, Elaine has served as a public defender, a private criminal defense attorney, and a plaintiff-side personal injury attorney. She has handled cases ranging from sexual assault and traumatic brain injury to wrongful death and has appeared before judges across Virginia — from Clarke County to Arlington County to King George County. That breadth of trial experience makes her a formidable advocate: she understands how cases are built, challenged, and won. She has obtained sizeable settlements for clients injured through no fault of their own, and she brings that same courtroom fluency and determination to every personal injury matter she handles.
Elaine is conversationally and functionally fluent in Spanish, allowing her to serve Spanish-speaking clients with the same clarity and care she brings to every client relationship. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association.
