Meet Stetson

Now here is one good-looking boy! Formal, distinguished, and undeniably handsome. If this cat had a hat, it would definitely be a Stetson. And that’s exactly how he earned his name.

Stetson came to the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County (AWSJC) as an owner surrender after his previous family found they had more cats than they could properly care for. At around 6 years old, he’s well past those wild kitten days, but don’t let that fool you. He still loves a good play session, whether that means batting around a toy on his own or romping with a feline friend.

Sweet and affectionate, Stetson enjoys being petted and appreciated, but he’s just not big on being held. He gets along well with other cats, and while his experience with dogs and children is still unknown, a simple meet-and-greet can help answer those questions if they’re a concern for your household.
