In July, Stephen traveled to San Francisco, California, for the annual convention of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). The AAJ is a national group that educates and supports trial lawyers, and their yearly convention is the biggest event they hold.
At the convention, the AAJ honored Stephen for the second time with the Above and Beyond Award. The organization annually awards lawyers for exceptional contributions, and Stephen was proud to receive this top AAJ honor.
Belief in Justice
Stephen strongly believes in AAJ’s mission – “Justice for All.” He also supports one of the most important rights in our country: the right to trial by jury. This right protects people when they are injured or wronged. It allows everyday citizens, not just judges or corporations, to decide what is fair.
For people who have suffered from serious injuries or accidents, this right is especially important. A jury ensures their voices are heard and holds powerful companies or insurance carriers accountable.
Helping the Community
The AAJ convention is not only a chance to learn. It also brings together lawyers who share a common goal: standing up for people who need help after serious accidents and injuries. Many cases involve people hurt in car wrecks, unsafe conditions, or by the careless actions of others. By supporting AAJ, Stephen helps strengthen the legal community as a whole, making sure lawyers have the tools and resources they need to continue the fight for justice.
A Lasting Commitment
Stephen’s Above and Beyond Award highlights his commitment to clients, colleagues, and ensuring fair treatment for those with serious injuries.
While this recognition highlights Stephen’s contributions on a national level, his focus remains here at home. Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers is proud to provide trusted local injury representation for individuals and families in West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. Stephen’s award is a reminder of our commitment to justice and to going above and beyond for our clients. If you have questions or need guidance, we encourage you to reach out.
