Stephen was proud to be a judge for the final round. He judged the STAC finals for the third time and was once again impressed with the students. “These students amaze me every time with how smart and prepared they are,” he said. The team that won this year came from South Texas College of Law. They stood out for their preparation, calm under pressure, and clear communication. They showed exactly what it means to be a great trial lawyer.
Supporting the Next Generation of Lawyers
Stephen enjoys this event because he cares about supporting future lawyers. For him, it’s not just about attending an event; it’s about making a meaningful impact on the next generation of legal professionals. “It’s important to support the next generation of lawyers,” he said. “They are the future of this profession, and I believe it’s our responsibility to guide and mentor them. However, if we don’t take the time to invest in their development, then we risk losing the values and skills that make this profession so important to society.”
Stephen firmly believes that mentorship is essential to ultimately strengthening the legal field. He reflected on his journey, grateful for the mentors who inspired him to give back. “I’ve been fortunate enough to have incredible mentors who shaped my career, and now it’s my turn to do the same for others. It’s an honor to be part of their journey and to play even a small role in helping them achieve their dreams,” he added. For Stephen, events like these highlight the passion of aspiring lawyers, and he’s grateful to support their growth.
At Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers, we believe in giving back and helping future lawyers grow. In WV, VA, MD, and even in this case, GA, we’re proud to support legal education and mentorship opportunities. Congrats to Stephen for sharing his time and experience, and to all the students who worked hard and competed!
