Attorney M. Alexandra “Alix” Hazel joined Skinner Accident & Injury Lawyers in April of 2024. With a strong track record of success and a passion for the legal world, Alix brings a wealth of experience to the firm’s personal injury practice.

Alix joined the Skinner team known for having tenacity and extensive trial expertise. She has earned a reputation as a knowledgeable advocate with a thorough approach. With a fervent commitment to championing those who have suffered harm or injustice, her background as a prosecutor reflects her dedication to securing justice for victims.

After receiving her undergraduate degree at Harvard University, Alix graduated from Elon University School of Law. Alix began her legal career in the Shenandoah Valley as a Prosecuting Attorney in Fauquier County, Virginia. She then served as a Prosecutor in Loudoun County, Virginia. While practicing in Virginia she honed her skills and gained valuable experience in legal matters such as first-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. She also prosecuted complicated DUIs, white collar crimes, and dangerous dog cases. After moving to West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle with her husband and children, Alix joined the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Alix is also actively involved in various community organizations and volunteers her time locally. She has served on the boards of the Fauquier Free Clinic and the American Conservation Film Festival, acting as President in both organizations. An avid runner, she has completed 8 marathons including Boston, New York and the Marine Corps Marathon.
