In 1969, John C. Skinner, Jr. and F. Dean Nichols founded the law firm of Nichols & Skinner. Prior to joining his mentor and friend, John served as Prosecuting Attorney of Jefferson County. Mr. Nichols retired in January of 1981. John retired spring 2015.
Stephen Skinner returned to the firm after working five years for a plaintiff’s firm in New York City, and Andrew Skinner left the Chicago Office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, to join with their father. It was renamed Skinner Law Firm. In 2008, Laura Davis joined the firm, bringing her years of experience with bad faith insurance claims and complex litigation.
