Christopher Cox joined the firm “Of Counsel” in the Fall of 2016. He mainly handles estate planning needs for Skinner Law Firm clients. Native to the Eastern Panhandle, Chris and his family recently returned home, after retiring from the Army, after 20 years of service to our Nation. Through Chris, Skinner Law Firm can offer a proactive approach to estate planning for all generations, from the young millennial to the seasoned baby-boomer and his or her legacy. Further, Skinner Law Firm will once again help loved-ones administer the estates of those who have passed.

Chris and his wife, Alison, have two children, Chandler (9) and Anna Grace (almost 12). Chris is a retired Army officer, lawyer, and veteran of the conflicts in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Chris is a proud graduate of both the West Virginia University College of Law and College of Business and Economics. Like Andrew Skinner, Chris served as an Armor officer before the Army sent him to law school to become a Judge Advocate (“JAG”). Since then, Chris has provided leadership and legal counsel to commands of all shapes and size, soldiers, and family members around the world for the last 12 years. Chris and his family feel extraordinarily privileged to have served our Army, its soldiers and families, and our Nation.
